Background
The MidWest Clinicians' Network is a nonprofit corporation
consisting of ten states in the midwest. The Network, coordinated
by the Michigan Primary Care
Association, is open to all clinical providers within
Region V & Region VII. MWCN provides research opportunities,
mentoring programs and education conferences for all its
members.
The Network will serve as a peer-based resource to:
- Stimulate the development of clinical leadership and
management skills.
- Assess and provide for the educational needs of clinicians
as articulated by network constitutes.
- Advocate for clinicians serving the medically disadvantaged.
- Facilitate community-based primary care research.
- Collaborate with other organizations demonstrating common
values, goals and objectives.
- Develop and exchange clinical protocols and health services
success models to enhance quality and community of care.

About the Network
Clinicians began membership networking in 1992. The first
panel of officers was elected and by-laws adopted, and the
network was incorporated in June, 1994.
MWCN serves members from all the States in Region V &
VII:

- Minnesota
- Missouri
- Nebraska
- Ohio
- Wisconsin
General membership meetings are held bi-annually. Members
may participate on the following committees:
Clinicians from all disciplines are invited to enjoy membership.
Representation is sought from physicians, nurses, pharmacists,
dentists, dental hygienists, social workers, dietitians,
nutritionist, health educators and all other allied health
professionals serving in the primary care setting.
